We are located in the beautiful moshava of Yavne’el, northern Israel. Our community consists of more than 600 families.

Approximately seven years ago, Mohorosh ztl, the Tzaddik of Yavne’el embarked on a holy mission to save our children and youth.

Powered by the spark of this critical undertaking, Mohorosh ztl and Rabbi Shemesh wasted little time getting started. They immediately gathered the children and youth of Yavne’el into his home. The most pressing goal was to provide them with support, loving attention, and a warm place to be.

The number of children increased significantly, creating a need for a more extensive and comprehensive structure. Additional staff members, professional teachers for learning difficulties, meals, and other vast resources for the multiple needs of the children were required.

Rabbi Shemesh contacted Rabbi Yitzchak Lazer Shlita and HaRav Daniel Boim Shlita for help. At this point, even without financial resources, it was decided to rent a private building to rescue our children and youth.

Today, hundreds of boys and girls come before and after school every day to the Mohorosh House. They receive two warm and nutritious meals, educational assistance, supervised activities, and spiritual and emotional support. The Mohorosh House gives the children a fuller and happier life.

The Mohorosh House also takes care of other needs of the children, such as footwear, clothing, backpacks, and other essentials.

Mohorosh House also provides complete food baskets to more than 300 families on Erev Shabbat every week!

But we are not fully meeting all the needs of our community, especially the needs of our at-risk children and youth. These youngsters come from low socioeconomic homes and multi-generational families and face many difficulties.

Many more kids want to join the Beit Mohorosh enrichment program, but we can’t accommodate them.
